To Transfer existing data to your new version of MARC Magician

1. Uninstall your previous version of Magician by clicking on your Start button and Control Panel
   (or Start, Settings and Control Panel depending on your Start Menu view).
   
2. Go into Add or Remove Programs and find MARC Magician. Highlight the program and click Remove.
   
3. Close out of the Control Panel.
   
   
   Rename your MARC Magician folder and install MARC Magician Professional:
   
4. Open My Computer and browse to C:\program files\MARC Magician.
   
5. Right-click on the MARC Magician folder and choose Rename.
   
6. Change the name of the folder to MARC Magician Professional (be sure to spell it correctly!).
   
7. Close the My Computer window and follow the instructions on the web page for downloading and installing MARC Wizard
   and MARC Magician Professional. You will notice that MARC Magician will have its own icon (little wizard hat) on your Desktop
   now and the link for MARC Magician inside of the MARC Wizard will eventually be gone.
   
   NOTE: if you are asked to set a new database location, do that. A browse window will pop up. In the text box at the top,
   type the following line and click OK:
   
   C:\program files\marc magician professional\data
   
8. If you have MARC Magician installed on more than one computer using the same user id and password for MARC Wizard,
   repeat the installation process on each of those computers.
